McArdle Meats is owned by Keith Shortt, a third generation butcher. Mc Ardle Meats was established over 50 years ago in Dundalk, Co Louth. Keith started working for Mc Ardle Meats at the tender age of sixteen and after three years working there the opportunity arose to purchase the business. In 2001, Keith armed with a wealth of experience and family recipes handed down through generations took over the Clanbrassil Street store located in Dundalk. Our three stores are located in Clanbrassil Street Dundalk, The Marshes Shopping Centre Dundalk and Charlestown Shopping Centre, Dublin. We also operate a state of the art production facility in Dundalk incorporating a production facility for all the raw meats and specialised products as well as a production kitchen for all cooked products and ready meals. The business continues to flourish and we have built up a reputation for quality and innovation. We believe there are four main factors to the success of our business they are good customer service, good quality product, good value for money and good hygiene standards.

1. Customer Service
We consider ourselves to be craft butchers of distinction. Although we have won many prestigious awards and accolades over the years the compliments paid to us by our customers continues to be the greatest reward. The customer is the focal point of all activities at McArdle Meats. We pride ourselves on high standards and these are achieved by constantly assessing and reassessing every aspect of our business. Like all good teams it is group effort that makes us successful. We do this by persistently listening to our customers and staff and by keeping abreast of new developments within our industry. All our staff are trained to help you in every possible way whether it be choosing the perfect product, cooking advice or meal selection. There is something or everyone from beef to chicken , ready meals to traditional roasts gluten free products, slimming choice products, vegetables, fresh bread and buns to ready to eat meals. We have built up a loyal customer base that trust us for all their food needs whether it be a party, Sunday roast or just an everyday meal we provide it all. Now we plan to bring this to everyone by introducing our new shop online.

2. Quality Product
We believe that we set trends which others follow. We have the experience and a passion to create and supply great food. All our shops are among the finest butchery establishments found in Ireland and we provide the best meats combined with the finest sourced ingredients. Our focus is on high quality products which are a 100% traceable from local suppliers. All our beef goes through a dry aging process. By this we mean the traditional method of developing flavour. After a period of twenty days the meat develops its inherent flavour and deep red hue producing a natural sweetness with superb cooking and eating qualities. In addition to traditional cuts we offer a unique experience in our own easy cook and ready to eat range of products.

3. Hygiene Standards
The standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all our stores surpass all EU guidelines and regulations. All our stores are immaculately clean and air conditioned. All our staff are HACCP trained and strive to ensure the customers get the best and safest meat. All staff operate meticulous hygiene systems. Standards are monitored regularly on an on-going and consistent basis. We aim to bring you the best in the very best condition.

4. Value for money
We provide a range of services covering a wide variety of meats at reasonable prices. We try to keep our costs down so we can pass the savings on to our customers. We have weekly special offers. We offer a text service which keeps our customers up to date with the latest offers. We also provide a saving club and recently we have set up a rewards club.
